Summary:
UST is looking for Manufacturing OMS Engineer.
The Opportunity:
· The OMS - Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing documentation, taking them from initial drafts to volume manufacturing ioms. The daily tasks include creation, review, modification and validation of OMS’s to facilitate manufacturing/assembly at the supplier level and in Applied Materials manufacturing operations.
· The OMS ME uses modeling and drafting software routinely in the course of their role, principally Unigraphics/NX, Visio. They also use Team center to access designs/models. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to engage with manufacturing floor to resolve issues is an added qualification for the OMS ME role.
· Interfaces with NPME, Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians and Quality teams to develop optimal operation sequences for parts and assemblies.
· Identifies key areas for product improvements and coordinates with other engineering functions to implement changes.
· Work closely with manufacturing operations management to prioritize areas for OMS/manufacturing documentation improvements.
· Work closely with manufacturing floor and solve the build issue and coordinate with offshore team complete assembly documents.
· Makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
· Participates in New Product Builds & Champions issue resolution. Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems; provides Long term corrective action.
· Perform time study to measure/record time for production processes.
· Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.
What you need:
· Requires strong skills in Product technology, Product Configuration and Variant option, change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, personal effectiveness, team skills, and quality.
· Requires additional knowledge of systems and software necessary such as MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Job Specific Knowledge:
· Manufacturing and assembly techniques, bill of materials, product/personel safety requirements, material handling, and trouble shooting.
· Requires demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices and principles.
· Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering change order process, product development process, value engineering etc
Education/Experience:
· 0 to 2 years’ Manufacturing experience with B. Tech in Mechanical Eng.
