Objectives:
To provide leadership to a team of production employees engaged in the manufacturing process of high quality contact lenses. To effectively manage labor resources, materials and utilization of equipment to meet/exceed production goals and objectives. To maintain compliance to quality standards, GMP's, SOP's in a safe and compliant manner.
Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate a diverse group of employees by promoting teamwork and continuous improvement to meet defined goals and objectives. Utilizes performance tracking metrics to monitor performance and provides timely feedback to employees on opportunities and recognize employees for excellence. Lead or support CIP initiatives for both technical or non-technical opportunities and works well with cross functional teams. Provide mentorship to new team leaders within the department. Responsible for multiple departments and coordinates team building activities. Ability to work well with key support group and to provide timely updates to plant management on key initiatives. Ensure employees are compliant to company policies and procedures. Report/Resolve employee related issues with Human Resources. Serve as communications liaison between employees and management staff/support groups. Coordinate team building activities to integrate employee involvement in projects for both technical and non-technical opportunities. Responsible for time and attendance tracking. Update SOP's, GMP's as needed.
Scope:
Responsible for staffing, training, and employee relations of 20-60 employees to achieve production goals, that are aligned to the plant business targets such as i.e.; quality, volume, and unit cost.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent reguired, BA/BS in a technical or business related field strongly preferred. 5+ years manufacturing supervisory experience required. Experience in FDA/ISO regulated (Medical Device) industry preferred. Ability to lead production employees in the concept of continuous improvement and employee teams. Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize effectively. Strong computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Word & Excel and other various software platforms. Ability to lead technical projects and good understanding of statistical process control, lean, and Six Sigma. Executes with urgency and delivers on promises to the employees. For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $60,000.00 and $90,000.00 annually. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
