Manufacturing Operator: All Shifts

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Performs preparation and related technological processes in accordance with instructions from the Supervisor, Process Engineer and lead operator.   Prime duties include can include etching, lapping, polishing, cleaning, mounting, loading furnaces, reporting, and data entry. Maintains accurate log of process parameters and entering into the data base, as instructed by the Production Supervisor. Precise record keeping and timely report out of the performance of the process. Adapts readily to changes in work caused by new requirements and/or situations. Effectiveness:  Deals well with differences of opinion, manner and style; Seeks ideas from others; Pursues simple solutions to everyday problems. Special projects as assigned and directed by management. Supports Process Engineering ensuring projects and special assignments are carried out in a timely fashion according to special instructions.

 

Education & Experience

High school graduate. College level courses in math, physics, metrology, chemistry, or computer literacy are a plus. 1 - 3 years of mechanical/electrical/chemical trades experience.   Manufacturing Experience is Preferred.  Experience with problem analysis and resolution Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others  Ability to recommend and implement improvements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software Must be technically inclined with good mechanical skills. Must have the aptitude to make decisions that affect downstream process quality.

Must be well organized, able to perform several tasks in parallel and work with minimum supervision. Must be capable to do data entry in paper and digital formats. Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross-cultural, and global team environment Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency Provides and supports the evolution and operation of an EHS program.  Actively supports company-wide environmental, health and safety programs.  Quickly responds to report or correct any environmental, health and safety hazard. Cooperative in working with others. Teamwork:  Contributes to a cohesive working group; Demonstrates commitment to and enthusiasm for team goals; Demonstrates cooperation and coordination with all participants in the annual ESGP activity. Communication; Expresses ideas openly, accurately and succinctly in both oral and written forms; effectively listens to and assimilates information from others; presents organized trains of thought; assures timely and adequate information exchanges.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at computer  Must be able to work 12 Hour Shifts, evenings, and weekends as a part of normal work schedule.
