Your role:

 

The Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte PA will: 

 

Prepare, pack and process products used in assigned work areaFollow written instructions per MPS/SOP/ISO guidelinesEngage in product manufacturing across various areasMonitor processes and identify opportunities for improvementDesign and conduct simple experiments to enhance yield, product quality, and develop new productAssist R&D in manufacturing of new productsPackage and label all products according to instructionsTest products in assigned work areaPrepare samples for quality control upon requestCompletes in-process inspectionsMaintains QC experimental recordsOperate and maintain all necessary lab equipmentResponsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipmentMaintain raw material inventory and request supplies as neededPerform maintenance and cleaning of the work area and lab equipment 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Vision and hearing within normal limitsAbility to move materials weighing up to 50 poundsMay require repetitive hand and arm movements, as well as standing or sitting for extended periodsHandle chemicals safely while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Manually dexterous for various tasks

 

Who you are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Strong communication and organizational skills1+ years with automated manufacturing equipment and in an industrial settingHigh attention to detailProficient with computersAbility to work independentlyCapable of writing legiblyBasic math skillsPrior experience operating/maintaining labeling, packaging, and lab equipment (e.g., balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, glove boxes)
