**Hiring Manufacturing Operators in Redwood City!**
**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will work in a team environment operating heavy manufacturing equipment. You will need to communicate effectively and adapt to a lean and fast-changing environment. This role requires interfacing with computer-controlled systems, frequent troubleshooting of mechanical and computer equipment issues, accurate data entry, and following written instructions using the shop floor computer system. Team members are also expected to participate in team activities, including meetings, giving and receiving feedback, sending and reading emails, housekeeping, and safety activities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy manufacturing equipment in a team environment.
+ Communicate and participate effectively in a lean and fast-changing environment.
+ Interface with computer-controlled systems.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical and computer equipment issues.
+ Accurately enter data and follow written instructions using the shop floor computer system.
+ Participate in team activities, including meetings, feedback sessions, email communication, housekeeping, and safety activities.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic computer literacy.
+ Experience with machine operation and data entry.
+ Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changes.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Production or mechanical experience preferred.
+ SAP or ERP experience preferred but not required.
+ Experience with wire braiding machine, electrical crimping/sparking station, and reel machine is beneficial.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
+ Motivated by challenges and problem-solving.
+ Ability to participate in LEAN exercises.
**Work Environment**
You will be working in a loud, industrial manufacturing environment and will be required to wear goggles and earplugs on the floor. Occasionally, you must be able to lift 50 lbs., pull, push, grab, bend, stoop, or kneel frequently. The role requires the ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and comfortably view, interpret, and process information within the department. Extended use of a computer monitor during normal working hours is also required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redwood City, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
