Manufacturing Plant Operations Manager
Job Description An Insight Global client is seeking to hire a Manufacturing Plant Operations Manager for their new facility near Lafayette, LA. This person will be responsible for managing the entire back-end manufacturing operations for renewable energy devices including the framing, packaging, adhesive, etc. process for producing new products. This person must come from a high volume and highly automated manufacturing environment and have a strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. In addition to having a background in manufacturing engineering, this person must also have leadership/management experience as they will be responsible for a team of 400 when the plant is fully operational. This person is expected to be on-site five days a week. Salary for the role ranges between $125k to $135k plus bonuses. Exact salary may vary based on years of experience and education. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering. 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a high volume and highly automated environment with PLCs, HMIs, pick and place machines, etc. Experience with manufacturing principles such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, OEE, manufacturing availability, throughput, yield and issue analysis. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing plant management including managing large teams (100s of people), P+L, AOP budgets, ISO compliance, 5S safety, etc. Strong data analysis skills with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. to make strategic continuous improvement decisions. Business Degree or MBA in addition to an Engineering degree Manufacturing experience with the following product types: Auto glass, value added glass, semiconductor, lamination, vision metrology, adhesives, packaging, general robotics/PLC. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
