Summary: Seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer with CNC programming skills for developing, modifying, and supporting the fabrication of orthopedic implants and instruments.
Requirements:
Experience in the fabrication of orthopedic implants and instruments
Ability to develop/modify CNC programs using Gibbscam or Partmaker
Competency in designing fixtures, creating setup sheets, specifying part holding techniques, speeds, feeds, and tooling
Proficiency with programming, operation, and set up of various machining platforms (EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss)
3D CAD skills
CAM programming skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Preferred Skills:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with machinist teams to proof out parts
Manage special tooling requirements and ensure timely ordering for part fabrication
Develop product and process specifications along with internal documentation
Strive for proficiency across different machining platforms
Effectively manage tool life for extended unattended machine operations
Prepare/review engineering change requests; implement engineering change notices and document control processes
Participate in contract review meetings; identify design changes to enhance manufacturability
Additional Information: First shift schedule; U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR work regulations. No security clearance requirement.
