Job DescriptionTake over technical responsibility for assembly line:
Lead and/or participate in Industrialization Projects in defined areas of expertise targeting design, construction, installation and modification of manufacturing and assembly equipment.Ramp- up line to serial production.Production support and improvement.Problem solving.Quality planning (P-FMEA, control plan, production relevant documentation, special characteristics).Change management.The responsibilities of this position are divided in 4 areas:
Industrialization:
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles in existing processes.Contribute knowledge of manufacturing processes to Design for Manufacturability activities.Develop and maintain APQP documents such as PFMEA, flow charts.Develop and maintain process documentation such as Set-up Instructions and Work Instructions.Lead and provide input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes.Lead in procurement and installation of new equipment.Provide and maintain project timelines and budgets.Lead contact to machine or equipment suppliers.Optimization:
Monitor productivity and improve and stabilize Manufacturing KPIs (Technical Availability, Reject Rate, Scrap, Downtime, CPKs, Cycle time)Methodical problem solving by using 5-why, Shainin, 8D, 6 Sigma, DOE, SCIP, PDCA.Support activities to address safety and quality for the assigned manufacturing line using 6S.Execute standards on the shopfloor by supporting operations.Develop, maintain, and support procedures, instructions and training material (PQI, CP, CO).Definition of measures for closing the target gap for VA and implementation (Cost Engineering & Benchmarking).Quality planning:
Review and update P-FMEA, be the interface to FMEA moderatorCreation and update of control planDefinition and handling of special characteristicsImplement Dummy standardCreation and revision of process control cards and flow chartsCreation and evaluation of capability studiesCreation of inspection and acceptance documentsPlanning and implementation of firewallsPresentation of quality planning documents during audits/customer visitExecute the quality planning.Manufacturing planning:
Responsible for target achievement of all relevant key performance indicators in area of responsibility (e.g.: OEE, productivity, defect costs, costs and invest)MAE and budget planning, tracking and requesting, ordering (Preparation of functional specificationsChange management on product level, incl. plant enablement and ramp-up/stabilization and software changes model maintenance pointsCollaboration in new projects/ SE teams / coordination in IPN networkDefine, Validate, Release and install production process and equipment according to Bosch standards (Integrations on line, new projects, participate in QGCs, Design for Manufacturing)Creation of work and production and test instructions as well as standard process data sheets.QualificationsEducation:
a) Minimum level: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) from a five-year college or university.
b) Expertise: min. 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience relocating lines or installing lines; or experience in optimizing running manufacturing assembly lines. Experience preferable in automotive industry.
