Hiring a Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical safety and process engineering, with a preferred degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering. This role requires a focus on technical excellence, responsiveness to customer needs, and innovative thinking.

ResponsibilitiesDefine, verify, and validate new manufacturing processes and modifications to existing products.Perform engineering and quality analysis of processes and prototypes.Develop and execute product/process testing protocols and document results.Collaborate with quality and development engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new medical device-related products.Develop and collaborate with automation engineers on the creation of manufacturing fixtures and equipment.Identify and implement areas of continuous improvement for current product production.Provide product-specific technical support as needed.Lead projects or project teams as required.Understand and comply with ISO and FDA requirements.Generate and maintain all aspects of design history records for all engineering-based activities related to new and existing products.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.2-5 years of experience in a similar engineering role in an ISO certified company.Experience with medical device development is preferred.Strong technical writing skills with the ability to write protocols, reports, manufacturing procedures, and supporting documentation.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and optimize manufacturing processes.Demonstrated knowledge and record of developing products within the framework of a Quality Management System (QMS).Critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and explain solutions.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, establish project plans, achieve timelines, and communicate results.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience with catheter and ancillary device manufacturing and development is a plus.Medical device experience is highly preferred.Work Environment

This position is within a small to mid-sized company. Some work will be conducted in a cleanroom environment. The core working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PMH

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
