**Job Description**
In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management.
The Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer position requires a candidate that is able to directly impact a value stream by using knowledge/ experience gained to monitor and improve processes using statistical process control and working to influence and lead production workers, be responsible for various sub-assemblies and help to manage external suppliers. This s a highly active, collaborative role and you will spend a lot of your time on the manufacturing floor supporting our assembly and manufacturing teams.
**In this Manufacturing/Process Engineer position you will make impacts in the following ways;**
+ Work directly with operations associates to identify trends in defects, cost drivers, and quality improvements to be made.
+ Will be responsible for a number of program work instructions for accuracy and maintenance of drawing changes.
+ Identify changes needed to the manufacturing area to support product processes.
_Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform_ _all work onsite_ _due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location_ _at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time_ _._
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree and 2 years of relevant work experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
+ Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
+ Ability to lead project improvements
+ Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive change
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 2 years of relevant work experience
+ Greenbelt training preferred
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $66700 - $113400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
