Job Description

As a Manufacturing Production Technician, you will operate a variety of electric and pneumatic power tools, including circular saws, drills, grinders, plasma cutters, riveting guns, sanders, and more. You will also weld aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel, and operate press brakes, shears, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic iron workers, radial arm saws, hydraulic hoists, and overhead cranes. The role involves crouching, bending, reaching, and walking, and requires you to stand and lift weights throughout the day.

ResponsibilitiesOperate electric power tools such as circular saws, drills, grinders, and plasma cutters.Operate pneumatic power tools including riveting guns, drills, grinders, sanders, cut-off grinders, punches, air hammers, and rivet clinchers.Weld aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.Operate press brakes, shears, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic iron workers, radial arm saws, hydraulic hoists, and overhead cranes.Perform tasks that involve crouching, bending, reaching, and walking.Essential SkillsProficiency with electric and pneumatic power tools.Mig WeldingWelding skills for aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to read a tape measure.Physical ability to stand for 10 hours per day and lift 10 to 50 lbs frequently.Additional Skills & QualificationsNo required certifications, education, or experience.Willingness to learn how to use hand tools, power tools, weld, and fabricate.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing shop where you will work near moving mechanical parts. The team consists of 120 production employees who typically work in groups of 2-5 people. The dress code includes steel toe/composite boots, jeans, and at least a short sleeve shirt. The company provides all necessary PPE, including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. The available shifts are Monday - Friday: 1st Shift from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm and 2nd Shift from 3:15 pm to 1:45 am, with optional overtime available on Saturdays or by adjusting your start/end times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Story City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50
