Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Manufacturing Programming Technician II. The Manufacturing Programming Technician will determine, maintain, and develop manufacturing programming methods of steel, copper and coil fabrication. Under general supervision, you will create moderately complex CAD/CAM Turret programming, order tooling, assist fabrication personnel and work with software vendors for customization needs. Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM-12:00AM
What you will do:
Responsible for the efficient usage of programmed materials. Provide standard and technical support to efficiently build quality products and meet market demands. Study and recommend techniques to improve existing CAM and internal software products. Analyze and determine the most effective material size for production and recommends alternative materials to engineering when appropriate. Select and recommend tooling purchases for new equipment in conjunction with engineering and coordinates purchase of tooling with the tooling department. Create and adjust moderately complex CAD files And collaborates with engineering regarding design enhancements for cost improvements. Troubleshoot general machine programming issues. Assist in product development, analyze data and determine recommendations for cost reduction measures. Participate in, or lead special project teams, working outside the scope of normal process to facilitate an accelerated schedule. Supply management with cost data for product pricing. Create and adjust detailed CAD files and collaborate with engineering regarding detailed design enhancements for cost improvements. Perform other duties as assignedWhat’s in it for you:

High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in CNC Programming or a related field. Have practical working knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes. Proficient at creating and maintaining current CAD/CAM programs and tool libraries. Proficient in manufacturing software such as VKS, Made to Order, part routings, Agile, Oracle and others as required. Experience with Microsoft Office software. Certificate or Associates Degree from a Technical School or college Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using state-of-art manufacturing processes including cellular manufacturing and Demand Flow Technology
