Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Project Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, at one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. The company is a trusted source of over 750 high-quality generic, specialty, and branded pharmaceutical products used by hospitals, physicians, and pharmacists across North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.

ResponsibilitiesEvaluate equipment to increase capacity and upgrade technology by qualifying capital manufacturing equipment and making a case for purchase.Analyze equipment capabilities, specify and set up equipment for new product launches, and ensure equipment is up and running after qualification and purchase.Monitor the process and calculate data for production equipment to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.Manage full projects from qualification to purchase, implementation, and optimization.Interact with multiple stakeholders, including process engineers, technology managers, and capital engineers.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.Experience in buying and qualifying capital equipment (manufacturing lines/equipment).Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly Oral Solid Dose (manufacturing of pills/tablets taken orally).Project management experience, including overseeing projects from qualification to purchase and getting equipment operational.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years of experience in manufacturing/production/project engineering within the pharmaceutical industry (experience in the food industry may be considered).Experience purchasing and qualifying capital manufacturing equipment.Experience in getting new equipment up and running within a manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills.Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, state-of-the-art facility with a mix of office space, labs, and manufacturing areas. Flexibility around working hours is provided, with a minimum of 40 hours expected. Core hours are from 9 AM to 3 PM, with flexibility around start and end times as long as you are present during core hours. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.37 - $48.07
