Manufacturing Scientist - Genomic Reagents Testing
Job Description

Join Agilent’s innovative Reagents Manufacturing team, where you’ll play a key role in developing and testing ground breaking genomic products. As a Manufacturing Scientist, you will work in a multifaceted environment, ensuring the quality and performance of reagents used in next-generation sequencing (NGS), microarray testing, and other genomic applications. Key Responsibilities

Perform molecular and microbiology techniques across multi-functional platforms.

Conduct plasmid and DNA purifications; quantify DNA using nanodrop spectrophotometry.

Perform quality control testing of NGS products using automation platforms.

Accurately analyze and report quantitative data.

Support manufacturing process validations for new products and processes.

Chip in to introduce new products and explore technologies to improve product quality.

Propose and implement manufacturing efficiency projects, including validation and project summaries.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on production and testing as needed.

Manage raw material inventories required for manufacturing and testing.

Enforce and promote 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Identify and implement process improvements.

Maintain and update ISO-compliant work instructions and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

BS/BA or equivalent experience or Master’s degree in biological science or a related field.

4+ years of proven experience in chemistry, molecular biology, or biochemistry.

Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as plasmid purification, PCR, QPCR, and NGS.

Experience with automation, sequencing instruments, and microarray testing is helpful.

Strong communication, organization, and digital literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel.
