Manufacturing Supervisor
**Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor** **Job Description** We are a leading metals processor/distributor in North America, providing a wide range of carbon steel products and services. Our company is solid and growth-oriented, servicing the defense, commercial construction, and road construction and fabrication industries. **Responsibilities** + Monitor and coordinate all areas of production to ensure an efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials to end product. + Supervise all production employees regarding job assignments, quality of work, overtime requirements, and safety. + Ensure all job orders are completed to customers' specifications. + Review all production activities with the Plant Manager daily. + Ensure regular and predictable attendance to perform duties effectively. + Evaluate employee competencies. + Coordinate with management and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed timely and correctly. + Ensure policies are understood and upheld. + Perform any other duties assigned by Management. **Essential Skills** + High School diploma or GED equivalent + Basic mathematics skills + Ability to read and write in English + Understanding and use of Safety Rules and Procedures, as well as OSHA standards and regulations + Ability to exercise judgment and recognize appropriate company policies + Ability to read measuring tape and caliper + Excellent communication and time management skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams) + Self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team + Comfortable speaking to groups of people **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment + Experience in using Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, etc. + Ability to coordinate with management and maintenance teams effectively + Experience in a Steel Manufacturing environment (Nice to Have) + Experience in supervising a maintenance team (Nice to Have) **Why Work Here?** Enjoy paid time off (PTO) accrual, excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance. Overtime may be required, starting at 5am or extending until 5pm. If transitioned to a split shift, hours will be from 11am to 7pm, and for a 2nd shift, from 3pm to 11pm. Availability and openness to work on Saturdays is necessary. The facility includes 30 production employees, with overhead cranes for loading coils into machines or onto trucks.
