Scope of Position

Proficiency in making sound decisions regarding the ability to manufacture products, improve effectiveness and cost of production processes through asset utilization, workflow, time standards, capacity utilization, process/equipment improvements, and process control systems. The position requires the ability to apply working knowledge and understanding to achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products and processes.  Responsible for providing direction and feedback on the performance of individuals or a team of associates who make or process materials into finished products in an industrial environment. 

Key Responsibilities Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, etc. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.  Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Frequently interacts with supervisors, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels. Conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc. Provides direct supervision to hourly workforce, and/or skilled exempt employees.

 

Hours/Shift:  Primarily Monday through Friday (day shift). Some evening and weekend work may be required based on operational needs. Availability to be responsive outside of normal work hours on some occasions to address questions and concerns during the off shifts. 

 

We anticipate 5% travel for this role.

Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required- Engineering, Business preferred 2-5 yrs. manufacturing supervisory experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong people skills. Track record of successful teamwork interaction in manufacturing. Track record of developing and implementing process improvements. *US Citizenship required

The range for this position is  $80,856.00   -  $111,177.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
