Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will assist the Specialty Products team in preparing small batches of material for commercialization. The role involves starting the day with a team meeting to set daily goals, running SPL products, and processing customer products. Responsibilities include using pig glands to extract enzymes and utilizing lab equipment such as column chromatography and UV spectrophotometry to scale up products. Tasks will range from ensuring raw materials are on hand, maintaining cleanliness, and monitoring equipment to achieve the desired product consistency. The total manufacturing time for products is approximately 7 weeks, involving various stages such as mixing, extractions, and converting materials into powder form. The position requires the use of pilot scale manufacturing equipment with the goal of commercialization.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Waunakee, WI.

Work Environment

The position is for the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:00pm, with occasional extra 15-30 minutes to finish batches and up to 45 hours a week. There will be a few days with 12-hour shifts, discussed in advance. The work environment includes a laboratory and pharmaceutical manufacturing setting with one large suite and 3-4 smaller suites. The facility is spread across one floor with areas requiring movement across the plant, including navigating three flights of stairs. The current team consists of 3 members on the 1st shift and 2 on the 2nd shift, with plans to expand.
