Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will primarily operate a large coating machine in a clean room environment to manufacture and quality control wafers for electronic and technological use. This role requires monitoring and maintaining the machine's operations, cleaning the machine periodically, and operating additional equipment to ensure product quality.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a 6ftx6ft coating machine and monitor its operations via a computer.Follow the run sheet instructions to ensure proper machine functionality during manufacturing phases.Work in a clean room environment, manufacturing and quality controlling wafers.Wear full PPE, including bunny suits, respirators, and Tyvex suits during specific tasks.Utilize machines to scan wafers and document results on a computer.Perform periodic cleaning of the coating machines using scrapers while wearing appropriate protective gear.Operate a Bead Blaster to clean coating machine parts by blasting them with micro-beads.Document production activities and maintain accurate records.Essential SkillsBasic computer skills, including the ability to navigate the internet and use basic software like Word.Comfortable wearing full PPE, including bunny suits, respirators, and Tyvex suits.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as disassembling and reassembling machines.Strong attention to detail to monitor machine operations and follow run sheets accurately.Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekend days.Additional Skills & QualificationsLeadership experience or prior roles in supervision or lead positions.Experience with large product assembly and good computer skills.Knowledge of hand tools and their use in machine maintenance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes a clean room setting requiring full PPE, including bunny suits. Shifts are 12 hours long, with a rotating schedule that includes weekend days. Employees will work Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night, and every other Saturday night from 6 PM to 6:30 AM. The schedule provides 3-4 day weekends every week, averaging 40 hours per week. The role involves operating advanced machinery and performing physical tasks, including machine cleaning and maintenance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Rosa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70
