Manufacturing Technician
**Job Title: Manufacturing Technician** **Job Description** As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for assembling large surveillance towers to the back of F-150 trucks used by border control. This position requires heavy lifting and experience in construction, auto mechanics, or large machine assembly. Electrical knowledge is a plus. This role operates on a 4/10 schedule, 1st shift from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential work on Fridays. **Responsibilities** + Assemble and wire various electro-mechanical units. + Use small hand tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, and pliers to complete box builds, cable/wire assemblies, and PCB assemblies. + Use bill-of-materials (BOM) and assembly drawings to complete builds. + Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed work. + Create and maintain machine programs and profiles for new and existing products. + Maintain product routings, drawing packets, and interpret instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators. + Troubleshoot operator problems and work with leadership on training and process improvements. + Communicate problems to Engineers and/or leadership. + Assist in testing and qualification of new equipment, materials, and processes. + Perform experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis. + Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership or Test Engineers. + Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities. + Comply with all company security policies and procedures. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. + Work on problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices. **Essential Skills** + Experience with electronics, automotive, or mechanical assembly. + Ability to use various hand and power tools including drivers, wrenches, torques, crimping tools, screwdrivers, and wire cutters. + Ability to read and work from schematics, assembly drawings, and engineering drawings. + Strong mechanical skills. + Experience with quality systems review (QSR) training. + Familiarity with automated computer systems and PFS. + Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. + Strong component recognition skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Potential to grow into a leadership role. + Ability to work both independently and in a team setting. **Why Work Here?** Our company provides a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with opportunities for growth and professional development. We work on military and government projects, some of which are top secret and require top secret and ITAR clearance. All contractors must be able to obtain these clearances and comply with ITAR regulations. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SANTA ANA, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
