Job Description:

The Manufacturing Technician will provide support to the production line with unit alignment, assembly, and testing.

Essential Functions:

Able to follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Assemble, align, and test, systems, components for complex optics, laser, and night vision products following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirementsAbility to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives Ability to complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bond/adhesives potentially with use of a microscopeAbility to make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit resultsRequires ability to operate complex active alignment stations and toolingAbility to troubleshoot and disposition basic failure modes of systemsMay require ability to use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools Working knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assembliesIdentifies, utilizes, and performs preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as requiredDemonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics.Reports deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and obtains quality inspection when appropriateApplies considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Participates in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
