MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN IV

Job Overview

 

Responsibilities:
•    Apply fundamental knowledge of engineering principles to resolve routine issues and technical problems with limited scope. 
•    Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. 
•    Program and operate CNC router for production.
•    Create models of tooling using CREO or Solidworks.
•    Maintain and repair molds and dies for plastic thermoforming and molding operations.
•    Assist in machine setup/tool changes.
•    Train operators to run production CNC router.
•    Support safety and quality improvement initiatives.
•    Support new product development projects for plastic thermoforming and molding.
•    Work with automated/semi-automated/manual assembly equipment. 
•    Daily support of manufacturing areas.
•    Create standard work instructions for production processes.
•    Requires considerable judgment, creativity, and initiative to accomplish tasks.
 

What your background should look like:

Qualifications:
•    The candidate must possess solid mechanical aptitude, the ability to prioritize project tasks to completion, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members to achieve business objectives.
•    Associate degree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline preferred. 
•    The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC programming and operation.
•    Experience in tooling fabrication using CNC machines is a plus.
•    Ability to produce solid models in CREO or Solidworks.  
•    Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean tools preferred.
•    Microsoft Office and computer skills.
•    Ability to learn, analyze and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to determine root cause and identify solutions.
•    Must be action oriented with the drive for results and work with minimum supervision once given the scope of work.
•    Must be proficient in English language.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59,760-89,640 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
