Manufacturing Technician - Overnight

Job Summary

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 9:00pm - 7:00am. There will be a 10% differential added to your base pay.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Learns to operate ovens within safety requirements and processes to cure different composite parts, repairs and bonds Prepare and load prepreg lay up parts in the oven, program DAQVIEW and oven Develop skills to bake parts in the oven while monitoring oven run utilizing controls and DAQVIEW Unload parts and move to appropriate de-tooling area De-bag and drill primary tooling holes, de-tool parts from molds without damaging part and mold Learn appropriate process to ensure correct ID of parts, and ID appropriately Prepare molds by removing flash, cleaning with PMC and applying release agent Learns and practices the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Learns and completes all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee.

High School Diploma or GED; or one to twelve months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of comparable composite work experience or 3 years manufacturing experience Working knowledge of hand and power tools Willingness to accept changes and challenges Ability to read, analyze and interrupt blueprints, specs, technical drawings, procedures or regulations. Ability to write routine reports and procedures. Ability to communicate and respond to common questions from supervisors, leads, and co-workers. Ability to present complex information to management Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team.  Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Basic computer skills
