Manufacturing Technology Specialist II, Warehouse (Travel/Remote)

Manufacturing Technology Specialist II (Warehouse) is responsible for developing and delivering technical training content and team initiatives that support skills development for team members within Niagara. As part of this role, the Manufacturing Technology Specialist II is expected to have advanced technical skills and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. The ideal candidate for this role is self-sufficient, adaptable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates will need to have flexibility to accommodate ever-changing schedules and work locations. The travel requirement for this position is 80%.

Essential Functions

Training Delivery & Support

Deliver training to participants via instructor led and on-the-job trainingConduct pre/post training assessmentsCollaborate with management team members and facilities to ensure the proper setup of training sessionsProvide emergency support to manufacturing and 1PL sites to sustain operations

Gap Analysis

Review warehouse operations and processes for areas of opportunityMonitor Warehouse KPIs and Dashboards to prescribe solutions for identified gaps

Instructional Design

Teach equipment-specific root-cause troubleshooting methodsCollaborate with team members to design, develop and deliver technical training programs and initiatives that support employee skills development, such as advanced mechanical skills and troubleshooting techniques.Provide technical expertise and guidance to trainees to help troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.Participating in the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes, including the testing and validation of new equipment and processes.Contribute to the periodic assessment of training needs to ensure that training requirements are being met.Collaborate with other Technical Services groups and vendors to develop written and demonstration-based skills assessments to determine baseline knowledge of Niagara personnelLead or assist in the curriculum design for training programs, activities including instructor led, online and alternative. This person will assist in the responsibilities of the team for developing and writing content, both traditional and e-learning training and materialsManage the development of instructor-led courses and ongoing support materialsEnsure training materials are in line with overall training strategy and approachWorks with the Content Coordinator to create assigned end user training documentation and ongoing support material, according to defined standardsProvides a final technical review of all eLearning coursewareCommunicate effectively with training stakeholders for any requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:2 Years   – Experience in business analysis or adult learning theory with a strong mechanical understanding2 Years – Experience in Position0 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Education

Minimum Required:Bachelor's Degree in related field pertaining to manufacturing.Preferred:Master's Degree in business, education or related field.
