MAP - Production Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Tasks may include but will not be limited to:

Lead engineering changes as per Drive procedure – on time / within budget / within procedure / proper documentation that can easily pass any required audits – total coordination.APQP and FMEA lead for engineering changes.Lead monthly RPN reduction meetings based upon high RPN values, customer concerns, high scrap rates and other concerns.Ensure feasibility studies and team review is completed as per engineering procedures.Weekly engineering change meeting attendance.Weekly meet and greet with partner production teams / leads to ensure they feel supported properly by engineeringPerform other duties as required.

EDUCATION: 

Bachelor Degree in a technical related discipline or 5-7 years related automotive experience with sound understanding of BIW build fit & function.

TECHNICAL TRAINING: 

Must have an understanding in the following areas, die / die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, CMM & datum alignment, data processing & reporting, customer tolerancing concepts

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ABILITIES WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR THE JOB?

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, Word.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong leadership skills

Pay range: $65,000 - $85,000
