Play a critical role in partnering with a world class  marine facility committed to providing the best services to their clients  and their yachts of all sizes with in house trades, and on site shops when it comes to maintenance, refit, and repair in  Thunderbolt, GA, just south of historic downtown Savannah.What matters most as a marine electrician: Pay of $25-$45 / hr based on experienceOn-site position located in the Thunderbolt, GA area1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm Monday – FridayBenefits include; medical, dental, and vision, additional benefits such as group accident, critical illness w/ cancer benefits, short-term disability, behavioral health, term life, and identity theft.Weekly pay via direct depositYour new role as a marine electrician:Testing, maintaining, repairing and installing marine electrical components primarily on AC / DC electrical systems in yachts and commercial vessels.Able to install boat cable on bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, pulling wires through cable trays to terminal strips in junction boxes, to circuit breakers, to voltage regulators and to distribution switch panels.Stripping insulation from wire ends and making terminal connections of all types, if any, using stripping pliers and swaging tools. Then, making the electrical connections to the intended device.Testing of electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators.Troubleshooting electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and affect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements.Conducting resistance measurements of electrical cables where necessary to determine condition and effecting repairs or replacements as required.What you need as a marine electrician:Minimum 5 years of industry experience in electrical, ideally within the marine environment.Possess a thorough understanding of AC or DC circuit operation and theory.An ability to utilize all functions of a multi-meter.Capable of testing circuits for voltage, continuity and amp draw.Understanding and ability to connect isolation transformers and galvanic isolators.Advanced marine electrical coursework and/or ABYC certifications.Your Career Partner:Veteran-founded and family-owned, The Reserves Network specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
