Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician with experience in installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment. This role involves working on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software at various locations, including company, customer, and field sites. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of production and processes, troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions efficiently, and interfacing with customers and subcontractors. This position requires developing and using technical documents, scheduling, reporting, and briefing customers and management, as well as performing duties outside of specialty to complete assignments.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment.Perform maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software.Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to resolve problems quickly.Apply comprehensive understanding of production and processes to assignments.Interface with customers and manage subcontractors, providing work direction to others.Perform a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.Develop and use technical documents, including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports, and task or trip reports.Schedule, report, and brief customers and management.Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.Essential SkillsExperience in marine, ship repair, valves, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel.High School diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related experience.Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and mechanical systems and associated equipment.Proficiency in using various power tools and measurement devices.Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and technical manuals.Knowledge of safety and quality control steps and procedures.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and maintain clearance level throughout employment.Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain credentials throughout employment.Work Environment
The position involves working at Naval Station Norfolk, providing a dynamic and challenging work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
