Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Millwrights for projects located in Seattle, WA.  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $32-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:    

Perform inspections and maintenance of vessels including deck repairs, cleaning, dewatering, opening and closing tanksAssist with loading and unloading rail barges as needed and directedAssist with facilities repairs; buildings, roofs, winches, A-frames, ramps and other marine equipment Work with and lead contract labor Clear and inspect tanks for entry and safety documentation Clean, dry, de-scale and de-humidify vessel tanks Perform and document marine facility inspections Inspect and fuel equipmentMaintain an awareness of safety and utilize personal protective gear at all times Keep work environment clean, tidy, and organized to aid workers and comply with regulations

 

Requirements High school diploma or GED preferredMinimum 2 years previous experience in vessel and facility maintenance preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, safety regulations and handbooks or governmental regulationsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questionsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAble to pass Shipyard Competent Person CertificateValid driver’s license and good driving record is preferredMust be eligible to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) Learn to and safely operate forklifts, operate bobcats, skid steers and basic power toolsIdentification or passport valid for travel requiredAbility to meet a flexible work schedule Ability and willingness to work overtime as requiredAbility to plan, organize and prioritize work to meet schedules/deadlinesAbility to work alone or as part of a team with minimal supervisionAbility to change focus and job duties in a fast moving, time restricted environmentMust be flexible and adaptive to constant changes and be able to work in a high stress environmentMinimal PC skills required: Windows, Outlook, keyboardingAbility and wiliness to travel to Alaska or other ports on occasionally Working knowledge of air tools, a tape measure, basic hand tools, carpentry, and plumbing Company Details
