Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in performing firefighting inspections per USCG and ABS Codes. Learn and Understand the “Scope of Work” for all inspections. Utilize smart device applications to manage / schedule inspection documentation. Complete all required paperwork and upload to database. Document required deficiencies and items required for repair. Manage customer expectations to maintain excellent customer relations.

Qualifications:

Prior Marine/Offshore Fire Protection Experience Good mechanical and electrical skills High quality communication skills Knowledge of basic safety standards with the ability to learn industry standards. Self-motivated to learn codes and regulations associated with marine fire protection. Effective customer service and communication skills. Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Working knowledge of test equipment. Strong work ethic and integrity. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment. Proficient in the use of computer programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook and the ability to work on tablet/phone-based applications. Ability to lift and move equipment and tools with assistance weighing up to 300 lbs. Good time-management skills.
