If you’re ready to grow with us and become part of our vision of being the premier Chemical Company, apply today! **Purpose/Introduction** Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking a Marine Services Specialist to join the Supply Chain team located at our headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. The primary functions include assurance of safe, reliable and suitable bulk liquid storage requirements of our manufactured products at third-party US terminals, aligned with our global logistics requirements. The Specialist will interface internally with commercial teams in Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing and associated logistics teams, and with external third-party service providers including terminals, surveying services and laboratories. The Specialist is expected to become a bulk liquid terminaling Subject Matter Expert (SME) within CPChem to provide guidance to the commercial teams. The selected candidate will work closely with the Global Marine Services Manager and will maintain relationships key service providers. **Responsibilities** + Address storage tank availability and economic assessments to suit current storage demands + Coordinate tank service changes to ensure product integrity and accommodate tank inspections + Contract administration of US terminals and inspection services providers + Support investigation of product handling incidents and determine associated root cause and preventative actions as part of the Customer Feedback System (CFS) + Identify and implement operating efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities including oversight of third-party service charges + Assist in development of efficient vessel and barge operations to improve pre-arrival and alongside activities + Support efforts to improve alignment of an effective global marine terminal network + Provide forecasting, planning, and annual budget guidance + Support commercial relationships with service providers and parent organizations + Participate in Operational Excellence (OE) activities to ensure compliance + Serve as key marine contact and a lead member of audit teams and internal compliance group activities (Environmental Health & Safety/EH&S, Product Risk Management Team/PRMT, Transportation Risk Assessment/TRA) + Facilitate standardization of terminal operations and global best practices **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry or similar field with 5 years bulk liquid storage experience or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years related experience + Basic knowledge of chemistry or handling of liquid chemicals + General understanding of contracting + Experience with surveyor/inspection companies & lab services + Physical suitability to perform field audits and other activities (tank climbs, boarding vessels) + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite + Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, self-motivated and goal-oriented + Follow all CPChem policies and procedures + Travel up to 20% + Evening and weekend engagement as needed **Preferred Qualifications** + Knowledge of liquid products (NAO, PAO, Aromatics, Olefins and Specialty Chemicals) + Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) and passport + Intermediate knowledge of SAP, Power BI and Navarik software + Working knowledge of Marine Vessel and Marine Terminal cargo custody transfer operations & procedures + Strong organizational skills that include experience with keeping detailed records and initiating communications of project schedule, status and deadlines + Knowledge of integrated truck, rail and pipeline systems Chevron Phillips Chemical offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and at most locations, alternate work schedules.
