**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Shipfitters** for projects located in **San Diego, CA.** This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate **up to $41/hr** based on experience and skill level. If you are a Shipfitter eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career! **Job Scope:** + Assemble, cut, and grind metal structural parts; plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, and come-along + Align parts in relation to each other + Tack and weld foundation and structural members + Perform layout work according to blueprints or reference lines + Mark location of holes to be drills + Drive wedges and install temporary fasteners to hold parts in place for welding + Perform other related tasks assigned **Requirements:** + Must have OSHA 10, Maritime and Fire watch certifications + Must have respirator fit testing completed + Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check + Minimum of 5 years experience in marine shipyard + T1 Welding certification + Must pass a vision test + Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces + Must be able to work any and all shifts + Must comprehend written and verbal instructions **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
