Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Shipfitters for projects located in San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $41/hr based on experience and skill level. If you are a Shipfitter eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

 

Job Scope:

Assemble, cut, and grind metal structural parts; plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, and come-alongAlign parts in relation to each other Tack and weld foundation and structural members Perform layout work according to blueprints or reference lines Mark location of holes to be drills Drive wedges and install temporary fasteners to hold parts in place for welding Perform other related tasks assigned 

Requirements: 

Must have OSHA 10, Maritime and Fire watch certifications Must have respirator fit testing completed Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Minimum of 5 years experience in marine shipyard T1 Welding certification Must pass a vision test Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces Must be able to work any and all shifts Must comprehend written and verbal instructions  Company Details
