We are seeking a motivated and analytical student to support our technical systems development. The successful candidate will support the Market Analytics & Strategy data team and will be responsible for but not limited to utilizing their VBA and SQL skills to develop regression models, automate reporting processes, and enhance our existing tools. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills to real-world business challenges and make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine regression models to improve sales forecasting accuracy.Automate data extraction and reporting processes using VBA and SQL.Analyze historical sales data to identify trends and patterns.Contribute to the development and documentation of our system tools.Monitor competitive activity, update relational databases (i.e Oracle) and contribute to national and regional level reporting.Develop and create dashboards on Power BI.Fulfills various requests for information including extracting data from various databases.Participate on potential site visits and market tours as required.Ideal Candidate Profile:
Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science).Strong SQL and/or VBA skills for data querying, aggregation, and manipulation.Knowledge of data analysis tools like Python or R is an asset.Understanding of data science principles and techniques are preferred.Experience in predictive modeling, using statistical or machine learning techniques, is highly desirable.Proven ability to identify opportunities for automation and build tools that streamline workflows and increase efficiency.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Term Length: 4 months
