Market Development Manager-Control (UT, MT, WY, ID, OR) - This position will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Your role extends beyond sales; it's about gathering marketing intelligence, sharing insights with management on market conditions, competitive and brand opportunities, and ensuring pricing consistency. You'll be the driving force behind motivating broker management, coordinating with marketing teams to ensure materials are available for local activation, and leveraging technology to monitor performance and identify opportunities. What You Will Need:
+ Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
+ Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
+ Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
+ Required to be 21 years of age or older.
+ Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business
+ Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.
+ Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
+ Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What You Will Set You Apart:
+ Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Spirits Development Specialist, Spirits Development Specialist Sr, Business Intelligence Analyst Sr, Market Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 1; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external alcohol sales experience.
+ Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.
+ Experience selling spirits or wine in the on-premise channel.
+ Experience selling spirits or wine in a Control State environment.
Compensation:
+ Hiring salary range posted: $84,645 - $127,015 / year
+ Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
