Position Summary
The Market Director is a leadership role within the market, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing all market inventory to ensure a seamless and efficient Home Buyer experience while supporting the market's growth, development, and P&L performance. The Market Director collaborates with internal stakeholders to optimize market operations and is accountable for managing and reporting key metrics that reflect market progress and success.
Essential Functions
Oversee a diverse portfolio of homes in the local retail market, ensuring the implementation of effective sales strategies to achieve performance goals.Manage and report on all market inventory to evaluate progress and drive decision-making.Assists with generating offers to potential sellers as needed.Travel to market areas as needed to walk the portfolio as needed.Demonstrate expertise in residential retail sales, including listing and marketing single-family homes across various price points and product types within the market.Build and maintain relationships with local brokers, gathering feedback on the portfolio and strengthening partnerships.Lead, train, and develop a team of licensed Home Marketing Consultants to achieve performance excellence.Provide guidance and expert insights to Renovations, Sales, and Transaction teams on home and transaction-related issues.Drive the market’s growth strategy by identifying opportunities and implementing initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.Collaborate with key stakeholders to align goals and ensure operational objectives are met.Monitor, analyze, and report KPIs to senior leadership, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Lead the development of strategic initiatives to enhance market performance and achieve business goals.Ensure property inspections are completed accurately, thoroughly, and on time.Identify and address inefficiencies to elevate overall market performance.Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of real estate experience, operations, marketing, or general managementExpert in residential retail sales experience Strong knowledge of real estate transactions documents Strong organization skills, accurate, and detail-orientedStrong work ethic, ability to learn quickly and adapt to changeExcellent communication (oral and written) skillsAbility to take initiative and work independently to establish and manage work priorities, activities and timelines to achieve resultsExhibits sound judgment and swift decision-making skillsAbility to think creatively and come up with solutionsAbility to critically review, summarize, and report findings and recommendationsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way.Preferred Qualifications
