**Job Summary:**
Manages the development of quantitative and qualitative market intelligence datasets, databases, and reporting tools. Applies strong analytics to the interpretation of the data and ability to predict the market. Establishes strong relationships across the intelligence organization and business to ensure efficiencies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Creates robust market size and share databases through the identification of credible sources and the application of effective methodologies. Develops and maintains the data structure, governance, integrity, and quality of multiple market size and share databases. Proficiently uses Business Intelligence (BI) and other reporting tools to enhance dashboards and report generation. Leads the application of advanced analytics to interpret data, and accurately interprets data to determine trends and derive insights. Builds forecast models for specific markets. Collaborates with market intelligence and business leaders across multiple segments and regions to improve the understanding of the market.

Deriving Market Insights - Researches and collects market and competitor's product data, trends, and positioning using a variety of primary and secondary sources; analyzes the information to develop strategic responses, propose projects and solutions, and appropriately allocate resources in order to maximize business value.
Intuitive Listening And Adapting Solutions - Translates needs, expectations, or asks from customers, stakeholders, etc. into actionable solutions through active listening and intuition; chooses or produces solutions (e.g. process change, tool, product, service, etc.) to meet or exceed the customers’ or stakeholders’ needs or expectations or to provide value.
Market Analysis - Researches information using meaningful and valid sources and data to expand your knowledge of markets; analyzes findings by connecting dots and identifying trends to create a coherent image of the market; summarizes relevant insights by condensing, prioritizing, and translating how these impact our business.
Market Forecasting - Analyzes and interprets market data from a variety of internal and external sources and modeling to formulate unbiased market projections specific to business segment.
Market Positioning - Compiles market overview and trends to build frameworks which provide market insights to the decision making process
Translating Relevant Market Data - Collects and categorizes customer voices and market information by leveraging appropriate research tools and techniques; analyzes research findings to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions.
Data Governance - Assures definition, ownership, metadata management, and security for Cummins data.
Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.
**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
College, university, or equivalent degree in statistics, information systems, marketing, sales, or a related subject required
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience:**
3-5 years in strategy, market research, or data analytics
Statistical models and analytics experience required
Market size and share methodologies experience preferred
**QUALIFICATIONS**
leading market research project or consulting project will be a plus.
Understanding PG market will be a plus.
