Market Manager

The Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing market-critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. Costar Group is seeking a Market Manager to join our growing research organization.
As a Market Manager, you will be leading a team of Researchers who are responsible for investigating and profiling companies to help owners, brokers and real estate professionals identify which companies are best suited for their buildings. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, stores, and warehouse and manufacturing facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead a team of 8 plus Associate Research Consultants dedicated to delivering comprehensive market coverage of accurate and complete commercial real estate information to CoStar clientsFoster a strong team culture and dynamic and provide regular coaching to the development of the teamEnsure continuous delivery of timely, comprehensive, and accurate information for the assigned markets/region whilst providing CoStar clients with the highest standard of customer serviceConduct regular call evaluations, training and mentoring sessions with your team. Coaching and guiding your team to produce meaningful telephone interactions consisting of effective questioning, listening, probing and sharing of informationCoach, mentor, and develop team members through individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career development that results in a center of excellencePrepare quarterly “Territory Plans” outlining planned improvements in data coverage/depth, relationships, and talent management initiativesInvestigate information resources of the assigned market/region to ensure all possible data sources are researched; information is captured, inputted and published in a timely manner and to the highest quality standardsConduct market/regional audits to ensure real-time data is being used by clients to make investment decisionsOversee the preparation of comprehensive market reports on a quarterly basisBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors’ degree required coupled with 2+ years previous experience leading a team of 6 or more individuals2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment2+ years of experience within commercial real estateInternal applicants are expected to have the following education/experience combination:
Bachelors’ degree1+ years of Microsoft Office experienceMicrosoft Excel 2016 experience is requiredFlexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zonesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industryExperience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-orientedLeadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional developmentAbility to work as part of a teamSuccess in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaborationAbility to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influenceExperience and demonstrated proficiency with Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas.
