Job Purpose:
Accelerates execution of qualitative and quantitative research to inform decisions about growth opportunities, roadmap, and competitive positioning. May supervise work of vendors who may be assisting on projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Market Research Managers to manage and/or coordinate market research and competitive intelligence projects to better understand and improve the company’s competitive position. Resourcefully collect and analyze secondary and primary research data that supports market opportunity, market trend and competitive landscape assessments. Distill and synthesize conclusions and communicate them clearly and compellingly. Maintain competitive intelligence and share with stakeholders across departments. Manage survey incentives procurement and distribution for market research projects. Recruit and/or interview customers and prospects to learn about their experience and attitudes about healthcare technology. Proactively recommend research process improvements to elevate the market research and competitive intelligence functions at Inovalon. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business and/or Healthcare. Minimum of 3 years of previous work experience in a Market Research / Market Intelligence role involving hands-on project work. Previous experience and familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative market research methodology. Solid analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Excel. Interest in competitive intelligence, healthcare technology competitors, tools such as Crayon Expertise/aptitude in market research and analytics software (SPSS and/or Q) Expertise/aptitude in online survey programming. Previous experience in healthcare or technology research preferred. A team player with a positive, can-do attitude, who loves to learn and who brings analytical and creative thinking to the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Sedentary work ( i.e. sitting for long periods of time); Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force; Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions; Subject to inside environmental conditions; and Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.
The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
