Market Risk Business Analyst

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Market Risk Business Analyst in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

1.           Identify business requirements arising from Risk Managers or related teams and for correct implementation in the Market Risk Information Technology infrastructure.

2.           Provide business analysis documents describing functionalities, risk methodologies, infrastructure aspects, business workflows, and operating models.

3.           Cover current and target state analysis, define testcases and success criteria.

4.           Work with business and application owners to define functional and software requirements for the technology development teams.

5.           Ensure technology solutions are designed correctly, ensuring long-term impact on business objectives as well as technology rationalizations.

6.           Develop and launch changes and oversee their final deliveries in relevant systems within Risk Tech or other areas of the bank.

7.           Ensure web or software developers have understood the precise software requirements.

8.           Review and validate test results and ensure business stakeholders provide sign-off based on proven evidence.

9.           Provide support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the program and the preferred methodology of the organization.

10.        Articulate and present commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative.

11.        Liaise with one or many business areas and Subject Matter Experts (SME), to analyze high level requirements and challenges.

12.        Elicit, validate, and document systems requirements in either business requirement documents or user and feature stories depending on the systems development life cycle in use by the development teams.

13.        Participate in the design process coordinated by the Program Management team from design approval to functional design completion, ensuring the envisaged functionality and benefits are delivered.

14.        Support the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested.

15.        Lead the resolution of software or web defects pertaining to requirement and design working with test teams and SMEs.

16.        Work with functional or business areas and SMEs to plan migrations of users and or transactions.

17.        Assist with User Acceptance Testing and training of new users or when new software functionality is released.

18.        May telecommute.
