Department Overview:
The Market Risk Control (MRC)- Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) group is responsible for:
Oversight of market risk aspects of CCR for TDBGOversight of XVA Valuation processes for TDBG including TDGUSStress-testing activities related to CCR for TDBGOversight of Prime brokerage Businesses for CanadaOversight of SA-CVA Capital for CCRQuantitative aspects of credit exposure policies for TDBG.Support for exposure calculations (PFE), XVA Market data for CCRResponsibilities:
Quantify and analyze risk exposure characteristics for assigned portfolios / products.Apply methodologies/expert judgments to measure a variety of risk exposures or other factors in new or existing credit trading products: analyze risk present in specific trades / transactions, determine “value at risk” and net exposure.Write detailed technical reports outlining model assumptions, computational methods and results for each project and systematically maintains detailed documentation. Provide ongoing support for all risk management applications developed.Raise any issues and/or recommend changes in standards and procedures based on experience.Demonstrate the ability to manage risk projects independently with minimal supervision; know what decisions can be made independently and those that need Management approval.Build and maintain relationships with other business units and departments.Understand and comply with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements.As directed, provide reporting and other information to external auditors, regulators.Test policy and methodology used by others to measure risk exposures, including validations statements.Research, develop and recommend standards for testing risk exposure as measured in proprietary or vendor software.Qualifications:
Excellent quantitative skills, solid knowledge of financial derivatives, pricing theory, market and credit risk management methodologies depending on specific business area.Quick learner who grasps new concepts and techniques quickly.Able to work well in a team environment or as an individual contributor.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.Educational Requirements
Graduate degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, mathematical finance, financial engineering
