As a Market Sales Executive based in Richmond, VA, you will conduct sales activities related to selling our portfolio of 150 hotels in 26 states, including guest rooms and meeting facilities. This is a rare opportunity to combine a national sales role with total account management, giving you direct influence over hotel performance and the ability to work closely with Operations, Marketing, and fellow Sales professionals.
Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to client-facing sales activities. There will be occasions when you need to travel outside of your home city, which should not exceed 30% of your overall working time.
Hybrid Work - Remote work two days per week (typically Monday and Friday) is available to team members who maintain performance expectations.WHAT WILL YOU DO
Responsible for revenue growth from assigned accounts, including corporate/non-corporate opportunities and developing new businessManage local B2B partnerships and sponsorships with guidance from Manager, Revenue Strategy & Market Sales, and collaboration with Regional ManagersMaintain expert knowledge of market area demand generators and accounts, ensuring comprehensive account managementLeverage customer interactions to explore opportunities across all 150 hotels within the companyMarket Area - Richmond, VA, Burlington, and Greensboro, NCWHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU
Demonstrates knowledge of sales techniques and exhibits the ability to advance customers through the sales cyclePossesses excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal that are grammatically accuratePresents confidently to audiences of various sizes, with quality and relevant messagingCommunicates with Internal stakeholders (Revenue Optimization, Operations Leaders, etc.) in a way that builds trust and revenue through collaborationExhibits effective time management, through structure, self-discipline, and smart calendar planningConfident in utilizing multiple technologies including CRM, Microsoft365, and industry research platformsEducation
Requires a high level of knowledge, skill, and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of a four-year college degreeA college degree related to sales and marketing is highly recommended and valuedExperience
