About our Team

We are looking for a Market Specialist to join our editorial team in Asia leading on content coverage in the sustainability space and engaging closely with the industry.

About the Role

You will drive content creation including market research and coming up with price indexation for pyrolysis oil and bio-naphtha. You will work closely with our editors and analysts and use data effectively to deliver insightful and actionable intelligence for our customers. You will raise the profile of ICIS as well as showcase our market expertise in the sustainability space through active client engagement, clearly distinguishing yourself as an industry expert in these interactions. You will be based in South Korea/Singapore.

Responsibilities

Carry out research on pyrolysis oil and bio-naphtha with the aim of producing insightful news, market analysis, price assessments and working with cross-functional teams to bring new products to marketTrack new projects and investments, supply-demand dynamics and changes in trade flows and update relevant databasesReport on these emerging markets in an engaging and timely manner through using relevant data visualizations that add value to your content and our subscribersContribute to establishing data analytics for pyrolysis oil and bio-naphthaTravel to attend and speak regularly at industry events, conferences and at client sessionsIdentify and share the latest key market developments and how that impacts our content and commercial opportunities with content colleagues and the wider business​ including the strategy, sales and marketing teams.

Requirements

5-10 years of industry or reporting experience in the chemicals/energy industry with a proven track record of being an established expert in your field.Established network of contacts in the chemical/energy/sustainability space.Academic qualifications in chemical engineering, business/finance, economics, journalism or similarBe able to write and communicate with clarityHave knowledge or interest in market economicsHave a high level of numerical accuracy and excellent analytical skillsHave excellent inter-personal and communication skillsExperience of working with Excel/Excel-based business toolsBe a passionate, curious, high-performing, accountable team playerEffectively bilingual in English and Korea (verbal and written)
