Summer 2025 Work Term

Term Length: 4 months

Term Start: May 5, 2025

Term End: August 22, 2025

As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role Mandate:

The successful candidate will support the Market Analytics & Strategy team and will be responsible for but not limited to updating and maintaining databases, building up datasets, contacting urban planning departments and working with GIS software for spatial analysis.

Duties:

Contribute to a national market strategy to identify areas for incremental store growth based on metrics such as but not limited to: population growth and store performanceLiaises with municipal and contacting planners to monitor respective regional growth areas, estimate future population growth and research potential commercial opportunities.  Monitor competitive activity, update relational databases and contribute to national and regional level reporting.Fulfills various requests for information including extracting data from various databasesParticipate on potential site visits and market tours as required.
