Job Description:

The Market & Trading Risk Analyst is responsible for preparing management reports and analyzing financial risk, compliance, and controls. This individual works collaboratively with front office personnel and other teams to ensure overall compliance with RaceTrac’s Risk Management goals, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Analyze the risk of the company’s portfolio across commodities and productsProvides data to Financial Accounting to complete monthly close-outMonitors and forecasts market trendsProvides ad-hoc analytical support to senior leadership to assist with business investment decisionsProvide accurate exposure, mark to market (MTM), and profitability reporting of all transactions as assigned by portfolioProvide back up for the responsibilities of other Risk Team membersResolve discrepancies and inaccuracies in contracts by communicating with traders, customers, and brokers; escalate to Senior Team Members as neededIndependently prepare advanced ad-hoc analysis, reports, and presentations on demandIdentify areas for improvements and continual development of risk systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or related field2+ years experience in Risk Management preferredAdvanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelExperience performing market analysis or financial/statistical data preferredDemonstrated ability to prioritize, take initiative, and resolve issues with a high sense of urgency
