Wabtec is seeking a qualified Marketing Analyst to join our team in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

In this position, you will interface with the Sales team, Engineering, Corporate and industry peers to collect market data, pinpoint emerging markets and/or product needs, and recommend strategies to upper management that drives market leadership.  Those with a demonstrated talent for data interpretation, robust research skills along with exceptional math and verbal skills, and a talent for analytical reasoning will stand out as prime candidates.

Marketing Analyst Job Responsibilities:

The applicant must have the ability to perform thorough data analysis on sales/order figures, customer information, competitor activities, marketing studies, and product range data.

Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Develop and recommend marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.

Familiarity with and use of marketing tools including SWOT analysis, Porter’s 5 Forces, industry and related reports to support preparation of product/market attractiveness, market size, market growth, etc.

Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

Familiarity with Trade Show planning and execution.

Manages the development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.

Maintains customer database and approves the use of internal and external mailing lists.

Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.

In collaboration with Sales Management, plans, promotes, and executes sales meetings, community and goodwill events.

Experience with social media including content creation and placement for improving customer knowledge of our products and services.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business (with specialization in Marketing) from four-year college or university.

Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience with a manufacturing business, ideally in the Industrial, Public Transportation, and/or Engineered Product Solutions sectors

Highly proficient in use of Excel, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office products.
