Our client, an industry leader in their space, is looking to hire a Marketing & Ad Sponsorship Consultant with a Sports background on a Long-term contract basis.
Work you'll do:
Manage and produce key activations around sports sponsorships across owned, paid, earned, and property channels.Work with internal and external creative support, including development of briefs and execution of digital/social creative, web pages, print ads, video content, and other creative assets while ensuring clear, consistent representation of sponsorship messaging and brand design in all creative materials.Work closely with internal agency and team members to manage social media, internal communications, leadership engagement, and overall owned channel amplification of sponsorship activities.Support team members and media agency to develop, implement, and measure paid media plans across digital, social, broadcast, and other placements.Coordinate and track reviews of copy and creative assets, both internally and externallyCoordinate with PR on press releases and relevant earned media opportunitiesWork with sponsorship properties to maximize marketing placements on their digital, social, and other channels with consistent messaging and creativeConcept and execute additional tactics that help drive awareness, understanding, and/or brand love with our people, clients, broad fanbases, and/or specific target audiencesLiaise with other internal stakeholders and properties to ensure all contractual sponsorship assets are being fulfilled and coordinatedCoordinate with sponsorship hospitality team to integrate key marketing messages into hospitality programmingContribute to status calls with internal stakeholders and sponsorship properties, while managing agendas, notes, and action itemsSupport campaign assessment and recapping - both qualitatively and quantitivelyWork with other key internal departments to maximize sponsorship impact, quality, and measurement, including, marketing effectiveness, risk, and legalSupport overall sponsorship marketing activities which may include newsletter development, internal communications, cross-sponsorship and sponsorship-specific concepting, ad hoc social post copy writing/planning, proofing, competitive analysis, presentation development, sweepstakes concepting and rules development, athlete alignment recommendations, athlete negotiations, coordination of executive speaking engagements, ticket management, and other areas as assignedSupport additional sponsorship areas as needed, including marketing & advertising around other sponsorships, hospitality, and employee engagement
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 8 years of experience in sports or sponsorship marketingPassion for sponsorship, brand and/ or marketing disciplines, with strong writing skillsDesired experience includes experience with sponsorship property reviews/approvals and hands-on experience with integrated marketing campaignsExperience in paid media and broadcast a plus, but not mandatoryExperience with video content development a plus, but not mandatory
