Job Description: 

Creates, implements, and coordinates communications aligned with strategic priorities. This includes developing and executing marketing and communication strategies to enhance awareness, participation, and utilization of programs, services, and facilities. Including managing blog content, creating effective online promotions, and building awareness for department activities. Additionally, they will oversee and prepare executive communications and presentations, developing campaigns to create and sustain high levels of stakeholder interaction.

Manages the entire lifecycle of promotional and collateral materials, both digital and print, collaborating with internal creative teams, external vendors, and partners within and outside the portfolio. The Specialist will benchmark with individuals and organizations beyond the university community, identifying and capitalizing on marketing trends. Additionally, they will maintain regular communication with students and community stakeholders through various channels, such as websites, annual reports, social media, and newsletters.

Actively contribute to planning marketing materials for the assigned units, leveraging relevant research to identify communication needs. The Specialist will work concurrently with unit staff and communications professionals across the enterprise to manage the brand of the division and university using standards and best practices, ensuring brand consistency across various digital marketing channels such as the website, blogs, emails, digital displays, and social media.

Involved in managing and enhancing online content and marketing analytics, for example, taking into account SEO and Google Analytics. Track, report, and communicate outcomes of projects to various stakeholders including students, alumni, faculty/staff, families, employers, and other external stakeholders. The Specialist also maintains and updates the unit's social media accounts, taking responsibility for day-to-day social media campaigns and activities.

Performs other administrative duties as assigned by supervisor and higher authorities in the department and division.  Attend staff and one-on-one supervision meetings to communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. Participates in department(s), division, and university-wide committees and other joint ventures to advance the student experience.  Lives out values of the division in all aspects of job function.

Expected Salary:

$60,000

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge

Demonstrate experience in brand management Demonstrate knowledge of and experience in managing printing processes and pre-press production requirements Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPress Demonstrated proficiency in social media platforms
