Opportunity Marketing Associate, Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts 

Position Summary: 

The Marketing Associate for Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts will assist with coordination and managing the development, production, and implementation of all marketing tactics, strategies and related projects associated with the property’s revenue and marketing objectives. This role supports a team of Marketing Directors and Marketing Managers in developing annual marketing plans to achieve both short and long-term revenue and marketing objectives while partnering closely with other topline disciplines (Sales and Revenue Management) to develop overarching cross-cutting strategies. Oversees coordination of all internal and external communications through digital presence, including but not limited to property websites, third-party channels, and social media while maintaining brand integrity. This position reports directly to HHM’s Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts  Senior Marketing Director and Vice President of eCommerce.

Essential Job Functions Include:

Strategic Planning & Management:

Collaborate with Marketing Directors to develop marketing strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with business prioritiesManage cluster marketing strategies when applicableAid repositioning efforts with Area Team, GM, and hotel executive teamMonitor and evaluate campaign performance using relevant reporting toolsTrack and analyze marketing spend to ensure alignment with goals and maximize ROI

Marketing Execution:

Support execution of marketing initiatives, creative briefs, and collateral productionAssist hotel teams with marketing material production and distributionPlan and organize presentations and maintain editorial calendarsManage photo galleries, design templates, and hotel collateral per Marketing Directors' priorities

Content & Asset Management:

Partner with social media agency to gather video and contentCollaborate on hotel photoshoots, managing logistics and digital asset libraryManage content distribution across various channels

Events & Partnerships:

Assist in overseeing monthly events planning and onsite managementFoster partnerships and communicate special offersResearch innovative programming and packagesChampion EarthView eco-friendly program

Public Relations:

Support PR strategy development, maintaining editorial calendar and pitch anglesCollaborate with PR agencies or manage PR messaging directlyGather timely information from on-property teams for PR needsSupport Corporate DOSM with deadline-driven deliverablesLead on-property media and brand partnership tours, as neededMaintain organized records of all contracts and agreements

Required Education & Experience:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Hospitality/Travel preferredMinimum of one year's marketing or public relations experienceAccount Management or Internship experience at a digital marketing agency a plusExperience with major hotel systems (IHG, Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton) a plus

Technical Skills:

Proficient in basic graphic design software such as CanvaStrong Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and analyticsProficient in social media and content creation

Core Competencies:

Excellence in written and verbal communicationStrong organizational and planning abilitiesDetail-oriented with project management skillsCreative and passionate about branding, marketing, and eventsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and in teams

Work Requirements:

Minimal travel within the U.S.for hotel activations, events, and photo shootsFlexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends to assist with eventsDemonstrated commitment to exceeding expectations

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of hospitality/travel industry and marketing solutions preferred
