TROON, the leading golf course management with 900+ managed facilities nationwide, seeks a Sales and Marketing Associate for the Chicago Region. The Sales and Marketing Associate will focus on brand and message management in social media, email, digital and print advertising, sales collateral and website strategies. They will also focus on planning and implementation of marketing communications strategies that will support successful execution of revenue programs.
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing (DSM) while serving as an account manager/consultant with General Managers (GM) at the golf courses, event pavilions and campgrounds in this region. Success lies in deadline-driven campaigns that are engaging, effective and authentic.

Responsibilities include:
Management/Leadership
Client account and marketing campaign management Manage multiple brands (golf courses, event venues and campgrounds), including messaging, branding design, and communication. Constant improvement. Contribute best practices and innovative ideas.Planning/Coordination
Plan and coordinate marketing and revenue-generation programs in conjunction with DSM and GMs. Develop and maintain marketing communication plans, job lists and calendars. Communicate with design team, DSMs and GMs via project management system, email, and phone. Introduce and present new marketing and campaign initiatives to the GM and provide guidance where needed.Execution
Leveraging social media platforms to help create engaging content for business entities – connecting with people across the demographic spectrum. Planning, creating and executing customized email campaigns for each property with our enterprise-level email campaign management tools. Executing website edits with our Content Management Systems (CMS). Facilitating and executing creation of printed/digital promotional collateral via design team and graphic design tools. Direct and collaborate with the design team to produce effective campaign elements.The successful candidate will have:
1-3 years’ work experience in marketing, advertising, communication, or related area. Ability to organize multiple streams of work and create cohesive results. Proficiency and curiosity in social media platforms as marketing/revenue generation tools. Initiative to seek new challenges and a desire learn how to meet our clients’ needs. Proactive nature, detail-orientation, ability to meet deadlines and strong communication skills. Skills in website Content Management Software (CMS) and enterprise-level email campaign software. Exposure to project management tools, such as Wrike, Monday, etc. Understanding of basic graphic design concepts and a good foundation of creative tools such as Photoshop, Canva, etc. Commercial awareness of and ability to learn the hospitality/golf industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
