The high level responsibilities for the position include working directly with the business unit on the activities related to the successful execution of consumer marketing campaigns:

Administration and support of IBM/EMM

Data research and analysis (Writing complex SQL, PL/​SQL (stored procedures/​functions) with Oracle 11g or higher).​

Campaign design development, testing, execution, QA, and support
Adhoc data loads
Problem analysis and solving
Handling campaign response data, customer contact history, and customer preferences
Consulting / Training with Honda’s campaign partners



Ideal Candidate:

5+ years working in marketing campaign area
Able to work in a dynamic environment
Able to work closely with the core team members (business and technical) to understand customer data used for marketing and to provide comprehensive data services.
Experience with processes to develop marketing campaigns to specifications
Able to understand business requirements and translate into the solution
Able to assess business, data & technical needs, and communicate back to the team gaps, risks and/or assumptions identified.
Strong communications skills with business customers
Strong in documentation of designs and processes.
Be responsible for multiple projects and for meeting challenging deadlines.
Effective with planning and organizing assigned work
Able to adhere to defined process
Problem analysis, solving and implementing appropriate counter measures

Technical
Experience with IBM EMM v9.x or IBM-Unica Campaign v8.5 (or higher)
Experience writing / understanding complex SQL, PL/​SQL (stored procedures/​functions) with Oracle 11g or higher.​
Experience writing and implementing unit test plans and quality assurance plans.​
Experience using UNIX command language to view and ftp files.​
Experience implementing error handling and data quality rules
Experience working with large data bases (+2 terabytes, tables with +2 billion records).



Responsibilities:



The candidate will be responsible for the following:



Campaign Support:

Administration and support of IBM EMM product suite version 9 (or higher) or IBM Unica Campaign version 8.5 (or higher)
Campaign Management fundamentals including, customer suppressions, preferences, mail list processing and merge purge
Production support (24x7)
Production system monitoring
Development of campaigns and quality control reviews with business partners (campaign planners and business units)
Gather and document requirements from the business (and other teams) related to marketing campaigns (primarily email marketing). Translate business requirements into technical specs.
Create standards for requirements gathering templates, campaign nomenclature and folder structure.
The design, development, QA, schedule and run campaigns in IBM EMM.
Perform quality assurance testing against campaigns developed by other team members.
Learn and understand the Marketing Database data model and data elements thoroughly
Identify and report production issues and follow them through to resolution.
Work closely with ESP deployment resource(s) to align IBM EMM output to the correct ESP template. Work with other teams for non-email campaigns.
Use tools like SQL developer to run ad hoc data analyses against Oracle databases
Create both one-off and recurring campaigns; both simple and complex logic.

Strong SQL skills: solid understanding of SQL (subqueries, minus/union, inline queries, etc.)
Strong PL/SQL, SQL query, SQL DML (Data Manipulation Language) and relational database design skills.

• Knowledge and understanding of the IBM EMM (UNICA) campaign development tool

· Architecting, designing, and presenting “integrated solutions”

• Installation and configuration of IBM EMM applications on supported OS and J2EE platforms (Windows, Unix (including Linux), Weblogic, and Websphere)

· Integration of IBM EMM applications with 3rd party components (e.g., SSO, LDAP, SSL, scheduling software)

· Integrating IBM EMM applications with websites and other touch point systems using API calls via Java Serial Objects and/or Web service (SOAP/XML) implementations

· Integrating IBM EMM applications with supported Oracle database platform.

· Meeting additional project automation requirements by providing design, development and testing of standard code using toolkits and scripting languages (e.g., IBM EMM macros and utilities, UNIX shell, Perl, and DOS batch commands)

· Providing documentation, and continuous communication to project team on general status, roadblocks, and progress toward goals

· Providing input into new product functionality and future direction of the product based on customer and prospect interactions

· AIX 6.X: Experience working with Unix OS systems/servers, implemented and maintained IBM Unica Campaign on Unix. Experience developing and supporting shell scripting.
