Marketing Communications Manager

This position is responsible for managing and actively participating in the daily operations of the internal and external communication activities and the representation of the company. Provides leadership and participates in communications tasks as required. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Manages and actively participates in the daily operations of communications activities by prioritizing and scheduling work assignments. + Implements and monitors standard procedures for timely and accurate communication; leads and participates in the development, recommendation and maintenance of communication policy and guidelines. + Plans and manages activities for assigned employees while coordinating with various functions within the company to ensure requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. + Responsible for writing press releases, website content and storyboarding marketing video scripts. + Responsible for reviewing and editing all external communications including social media posts. + Responsible for managing all marketing/sales collateral and ensure that it is current. + Responsible for managing the advertising budget; allocating funds and executing advertisements in line with company objectives. + Represents the group as a contact with internal and external representatives; makes internal and external presentations as required. + Manages the planning, attraction, selection, retention and development of personnel; develops programs and procedures to train staff. + Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. + Must have knowledge of marketing and communication principles and concepts along with an understanding of marketing and communications practices, techniques, and standards. + Experience in defense and/or aerospace industries is preferred + Experience with social media management and digital communications tools is desired + Experience in storytelling, drafting news releases, writing for executives + Experience developing Power Point briefings is required + Experience analyzing and reporting metrics + Must be able to organize, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet established milestones. + Must be customer focused and possess: + the ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity + excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately convey information to a variety of audiences + excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers and external parties; + excellent computer skills. + Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required. + The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required **Salary:** $90,930 - $162,788 **Travel Percentage Required** 0 - 25 **Relocation Assistance Provided** Not Provided **US Citizenship Required?** Yes **Clearance Required?** Desired **Clearance Level** Secret **Workstyle** Hybrid General Atomics is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
